Irish AR 5th Place in Adidas Terrex!
A spectacular 5th place result by Team no.13, Irish AR in the new Adidas Terrex AR World Series race Cumbria, UK.
The Adidas Terrex, an Adventure Racing World Series event offering teams the opportunity to qualify for the World Championships in Spain, took place in Cumbria from the 27th – 30th August. Irish AR composed of Chris Caulfield, Eoin Keith Avril Copeland and Brian Keogh, excelled in the non-stop race to finish an impressive 5th place among top International teams, securing their qualification for World Championships in Spain and setting themselves up for a great performance!

Another win for Eoin in the Causeway Coast Marathon !
Well done to Fiola in the Uetliberglauf part of the Zurilauf Cup in Zurich last weekend with a fast 2nd place result in her category over a hilly 14km course in the mountains.

New Announcement from ADAC organizers – Course CHANGES!

Announcements from the organizers of Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge are there will be a triathlon style opener to the race in the city of Abu Dhabi! How exciting! Its a good thing some of our team have been swim training this year already.
“On 4th December, Abu Dhabi City, with its skyline of tall, modern buildings interspersed with delicate minarets and elegant seafront promenades will repeat its role as urban showcase for the event by hosting the opening act: a triathlon-style opener that involves 34km of running, cycling, sea kayaking and, for the first time, swimming in the calm waters around the Abu Dhabi Corniche”.
A 110km sea kayak leg
A 120km desert trek
95km biking stage
Climb up Jebel Hefet (1,340mtrs) and rope work
37km bike to finish
A little run to the finish line
PHEW! Im off out for a lunchtime training session! Panic stations!
